Experience
Art Director
Conceptualization & Ideation, Wireframing, Prototyping and a side helping of project management joined all the old skills to transform me into an Art Director. Proposals, presentations, and pitches were the order of the day (and have been ever since). A new influx of corporate design work accompanied this transition, accounting for some valuable perspective on what a whole other side of the industry was up to. Here, incidentally, is where I also learned what it meant to deal with people. Handling the needs of clients as well as the talented members in your team often turns out to be a juggling act, but its one I've grown to enjoy.
IWM Creative
Graphic Designer
IWM Creative was a small business – a miniature forge where I learned what it took to keep a company afloat. A great deal of experience was amassed here. I designed websites. I belted out animations and sizzle reels. I put together editorial pieces and spent countless hours on digital imaging, illustration, and photo retouching.
Production Designer
Working the line at an agency teaches you a lot of things. It teaches you how valuable good leadership is. It shows you that deadlines matter. It helps you form a proper relationship with your production team as well as your art director. And, there's a great sense of satisfaction with the finished project once it reaches the spotlight.
